Life on the farm

The vegetable patch is very average this year - only one zucchini plant survives, onions stolen by currawongs, tomatoes very very slow in ripening.  But the watermelons are doing well.  Look at this fruit - the size of a 10c coin.  Call me an optimist?

 These blackwood (acacia melanoxylon) seeds are what are hanging in the netting, below.
